A health industry businessman who has helped support the township’s K-9 program — including acquiring a new dog last year — has donated funds to purchase a new K-9 vehicle.
“Through his continued generosity and support for the K-9 program, this year Dr. Caesar DePaço and Summit Nutritionals International Inc. ® donated additional funding to the police department to purchase a new K-9 vehicle along with all the required K-9 equipment,” Hillsborough Police Chief Paul Kaminsky said in a statement.
The vehicle is a new 2014 Ford Police Interceptor Sport Utility Vehicle, fully equipped with all the necessary accessories to safely transport K-9 Kondro, and to carry out his K-9 functions, Kaminsky said.
In 2013, DePaço and Summit Nutritionals International Inc.™ donated enough funds so the Hillsborough Police could acquire and support K-9 Kondro upon the retirement of previous K-9 officer, K-9 Raider.
